Directed by Rob ZombieI remember when Rob Zombie was first announced as the director of the Halloween reboot back in 06'. Most of us were cautiously optimistic after he refined his abilities with The Devils Rejects. What none of us expected was that Zombie would take his love of trailer trash characters and infuse them into his vision of Halloween. While the first film manages to squeak out a
For those too young to remember to who weren't even born yet, Silent Night, Deadly Night was the movie that the parents hated! The commercials and poster featured and Ax wielding Santa that simply enraged parents groups. There were protests all over the country which is pretty shocking to think about today. Our society has become so desensitized that I doubt a killer Santa film would garner so

The era of big hair, happy non-threatening metal bands, tight jeans, and satanic panic! Back in the 1980's I can still remember the panic over anything that seemed satanic. whether it be music, movies, or people the parents were all over it

Being a fan of Sam Raimi from the first time I watched Evil Dead I was very excited to find out that he was finally making another horror film. I imagine most of today’s generation know Raimi for his Spiderman films and little else. Of course he started in horror and became a very well known director for his wicked sense of humor and visual style. When Drag Me to Hell hit theatres I quickly
Everything you've heard is true! Michael Dougherty's long awaited, studio mishandled Trick R' Treat is the best Halloween Movie to come out in 30 years! How this movie went direct to DVD and is not in theatres right now scaring the crap out of huge audiences is still a mystery. Did the studio really not no how to market this Halloween gem or was there another reason? I doubt we'll find out

Back in 1996 a TV show called Millennium shocked American Audiences with its dark take on crime in our society and where it might be leading us as we neared the Year 2000. Retired FBI profiler, Frank Black, tracked down the darkest and most terrifying killers each and every week. He worked with a mysterious consulting firm call The Millennium Group who weren't content to "Sit back and hope for
In case you haven’t already found it elsewhere you should check out the new Halloween 2 poster, which isn’t titled H2 in this one, on the left. The general consensus seems to be that this is a pretty badass poster but I have to disagree. I’m not loving it at all. Brutality alone does not a good poster make and the very photoshopped sky and rain the background is pretty dull.
The old saying, "You can't go home again" has always held true. Many have tried, college drop outs, artists, teeny bopper parents and even presidents but none have succeeded. Sometimes it is a catastrophe like Spielberg's excrutiatingly mediocre sequel Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Other times it can be not a little less painful like Marilyn Manson's latest record, The
If your a child of the 80's then you already know what Madballs are and no doubt have warm and fuzzy memories of using them to frighten your parents or siblings. When I was a kid I made a big effort to get every single mad ball that was released. These things were so popular they even had cheap knock-off's you could find at dollar stores released by rival companies. As a kid who ate, slept
The New trailer for Rob Zombie's Sequel to his much maligned remake of Halloween is now online. I have to say its a slick trailer and its filling me with questions about the storyline. It looks like we'll be giving a lot of information as to why Michael is doing what he's doing. Taken on its own it might be interesting but I think Hardcore Halloween Fans are going to be pissed. Check out the
Trick or Treat is one of those movies that has all this positive buzz behind it but has been treated like a red-headed step child by its studio. Its been in the can now for about 2 years and lot of reviewers have been calling it a great Halloween movie that is destined to become a cult classic. I'm dying to see it so I'm happy to hear that it will be getting put on DVD and Blu-Ray this October.
